We all look but see
different things; different things get relayed back to our brain as individuals
despite the fact that millions of information get captured by our optical
senses when we open our eyes to the world around us all full blown in 3D
graphics.
The world around us is
so beautiful with wide expanse of vegetation whose power
has been threatened
and rendered almost impotent; the metro cities do actually provide us with different
luxuries but in a reasonable way pollute our dear nature hence the true beauty
can’t be felt or appreciated in a place like that. Thanks to science and
research that has helped us to a large extent in tapping into what nature held
in store for us.
As a result of the busy
everyday life of people in metropolitan areas, what is been ingested into their
system is usually what has been developed to meet their needs. Food companies
have developed quick easy to make foods, ready to eat foods most of them specifically
made to meet the daily nutritional needs of the eaters, several “safe”
chemicals definitely with some adverse effects are being used in the
formulation of these foods and usually labeled safe for eating yet despite
these innovations, the sudden rise of various cancers that were almost obsolete
have now surfaced more than they use to some decades ago. I am not saying food
is the main cause of theses ailments but it is one of the main culprits.
As a nutritionist, I advocate
the consumption of nature’s remedy plant material to help counter the action of
these unsafe things that we eat or adopted because of our lifestyle. The
question now is what and what do I eat to counter the action of what and what
chemical that I have ingested through food?
I will give just one
suggestion and in subsequent bulletins other sure suggestions tested and
trusted will be given. Today I will just tell you that instead of chewing on
things not so good nutritionally in your spare time, it will be better if you
can chew on nuts. Obviously you can’t eat so many groundnuts or cashew nut as
you will eat pop-corn, the nuts you eat are very good for your health basically
in terms of fighting free radicals in the body, and free radicals are responsible
for cancerous growth in the body, these free radicals are gotten into the
system from different sources such as food made with oil and the likes but when
you eat nuts, they are very good antioxidants and they fight and combine with
these free radicals in the body to eradicate them. So next time you go see a
movie or reading a book at your leisure period, try some nuts if you are not
allergic to them; but if you are, we can always find a way around it by consuming
other antioxidant in fruits form like in orange, apple etc.
