Since the age of 13, she has suffered from severe joint pain and migraines, and still aspires to be a model. She got teased by classmates and was too tall to ride the school bus properly.
Elisany has a boyfriend who she says has had a positive influence on her and makes her much happier. Her boyfriend Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho, a construction worker who's 5ft 4 inches tall says she is a beautiful person.
