It is official! This lady has been confirmed by the Guinness World Records as having the world’s longest tongue. Her tongue, measures 9.75 cm (3.8 in), from tip to top lip. Her lizard-like tongue is twice as long as the average tongue.
Here is what Chanel Tapper, a student from California, USA told Guinness World Records about her record-breaking body part in an interview: “I was eight and my mom and I were taking pictures for Halloween. In one of the pictures we stuck our tongues out. I noticed I had a long tongue when the pictures from Halloween were printed and I saw it…but I guess it became apparent in middle school when people started commenting on it.
She became famous after a video clip posted in YouTube, showing her huge tongue, when she was only 13 years old. She says that she does not mind the reaction from the public.
“I have always been silly and goofy. I love sticking my tongue out at people. I started doing that back in school. I’ve never had a problem with having a long tongue, it’s just fun,” she said.
Her tongue is as long as an iPhone. She can touch her nose and elbow which are really impossible for an ordinary person. She also admits that she can eat an entire cup of yogurt without using a spoon.
